On the 10th National Ayurveda Day 2025, CARI Hospital conducted
an awareness programme on medicinal plant usage alongside a Survey of the Medicinal
Plant Unit (SMPU), an initiative dedicated to the documentation, conservation, and
sustainable utilization of medicinal plant resources to strengthen Ayurveda and
preserve traditional knowledge.

(CARI) Bengaluru organized a plantation drive of indigenous medicinal plants in its

organized a medicinal plant campaign on 16th September 2025.
On the occasion of the 10th Ayurveda Day 2025, a No-Flame Cooking
Competition focused on Ayurveda recipes was celebrated at CARI Bengaluru on
15.09.2025. This event was part of the broader national festivities under the theme
“Ayurveda for People and Planet”, highlighting Ayurveda’s role in promoting health,
sustainability, and holistic well-being.
On the occasion of the 10th Ayurveda Day 2025, an awareness
program by AMHCP (SCSP), CARI Bengaluru was held at Marriyammanahalli thanda, Hospet
block, Ballari District, Karnataka, emphasizing the role of a healthy diet in cancer
prevention and Ayurvedic therapies for supporting cancer patients under the theme
“Integrating Cancer in Ayurveda’s Role.” A total of 117 patients participated in the
health camp, where IEC material was distributed along with details of nearby
Ayurveda hospitals and dispensaries on 13.09.2025

was conducted for Higher primary school students of EMRS School, Mangala,
Chamarajanagar District

A medicinal plant campaign is being organized among OPD patients
at CARI hospital as part of the 10th Ayurveda Day celebrations to raise awareness

Talaghattapura Police Station. Distribution of prizes to winners of
various events held in connection with 9th Ayurveda Day were given which
created a sense of awareness amongst todays generation and promotes
ayurvedic principles of healings in society.
9th Ayurveda Day 2024 was
celebrated today with its theme ‘Ayurveda Innovation for Global Health’
with various activities worldwide. The honourable prime minister Shri
Narendra Modi has launched today, the Centre of Excellence in Ayurveda
for Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders sponsored by Ministry of Ayush at
the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. This scheme is led by
Dr. Navakanta Bhat alongwith Dr. Sona Rajakumari at IISc. Investigators
from collaborating institutes in Bengaluru include Dr Sulochana Bhat,
Head, Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI); Dr S Srikanta,
Director, Samatvam: Science and Research for Human Welfare Trust; and Dr
K S Nagabhushana, Prayoga Institute of Education Research.
